Logistics Week 2019

The Logistics Alliance which embraces the following organisations, was established in July 2017:

  • Enterprise Singapore

  • Container Depot and Logistics Association (Singapore)

  • SAAA@Singapore

  • Singapore Logistics Association

  • Singapore Transport Association

  • Centre of Innovation for Supply Chain Management at Republic Polytechnic

The Logistics Alliance organised the 2nd edition of the Logistics Week from 08 to 12 October 2019.

Human Capital Talk

The morning session on 8 October 2019 kick-start the Logistics Week. Held at The Meeting Point @ Launchpad, the line up of 5 speakers presented a range of interesting topics covering Manpower Strategies, Employee Value Proposition, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Diversity & Inclusion in the Workforce and How SMEs Triumph Against the Big Companies.

Singapore Logistics Forum

Held on 09 October 2019 at the Lifelong Learning Institute, the Singapore Logistics Forum is a flagship event of the Singapore Logistics Week and is a premier platform for leaders in the logistics industry and trade associations to share best practices, network and explore collaboration.



The forum gathered about 200 business leaders from the logistics industry to engage in interactive sharing sessions, gain insights on how to innovate and enhance their business operations as well as to understand the importance of collaborative efforts and leverage on each other’s strengths to grow their businesses. The forum was graced by Dr Koh Poh Koon – Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry. Ms Gina Toh - Chairwoman for e-Fulfilment Committee was one of the Panellists to share and discuss on Collaborative Urban Logistics.



The discussion emphasized on the importance of collaborative efforts and leveraging on each other’s strengths to grow businesses. There was also a presentation of awards to winners of the inaugural Trade and Connectivity Challenge.

Innovation Story

Members of SLA attended the afternoon session on 11 October 2019 at The Meeting Point @ Launchpad. The presenters covered Business Model Innovation, Automation, First Steps and Supply Chain Optimisation, followed by a Q&A session.

Logistics Fair

The Logistics Fair 2019 on 12 October 2019 was launched by the respective heads of the Logistics Alliance. The fair brought the logistics industry together with their family members, friends and individuals from all walks of life to promulgate that logistics is beyond the traditional moving of cartons and warehousing.


One of the notable highlights was the WSH Forklift Champions’ League put together by the WSH Council and BYD Forklift which aimed to engage different levels of workforce and raise awareness in best practices in WSH. 12 teams participated and Team Poh Tiong Choon Logistics emerged as the Champion.


There was also an Indoor Exhibition focussing in 3 main areas - Innovation & Technology, Skills & Talents and Enterprise Capabilities; outdoor logistics mobile assets display area; games and activities; food stalls; live stations as well as a photo booth. In the evening, there was an outdoor movie screening of 我们的故事 (Long Long Time Ago) with special appearance by the film director, Mr Jack Neo.
