SLA together with the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSH Council) organized the WSH Forum for L&T Sector on 11 July 2019 at Trade Association Hub. The forum theme: “Driving WSH Excellence through Innovation and Technology” and programme line-up were designed to elucidate how the adoption of technology and implementation of simple WSH innovative ideas can transform businesses and the future of the L&T sector. Attended by close to 300 senior management officials, the event reinforced WSH Council’s commitment to work closely with industry partners to advocate the importance of safety and health, and drive WSH excellence in the L&T sector.
During the event, Mr Tan Puay Hin – Chief Executive presented the 2019 WSH Innovation Awards for Logistics & Transport Sector to the 8 recipients. Following which, the Gold winners for the WSH Innovation Award for L&T Sector for Years 2018 and 2019 presented and shared how they successfully made use of WSH technology-based solutions and innovations to improve the state of WSH along with improved productivity. There were other WSH success stories from several enterprises as well.
The forum was complemented with an exhibition showcase by SLA, WSH Council and the forum Gold Sponsor, Cycle & Carriage Automotive’s BYD Forklifts.
